Why Garlic Should be Your Best Friend

Not only is it great for seasoning food, garlic has numerous health benefits that can work as a natural antibacterial and healing remedy.


If you’re not afraid of a little garlic breathe here and there, injecting garlic can be very helpful when you’re sick or have an infection.  I use garlic mostly for when I get colds and other flu like symptoms. Usually I like to boil garlic with ginger and cinnamon sticks into a tea and drink it. It works instantly by soothing a soar, scratchy throat. If you’re looking for even more potent flu and cold relief, chew and swallow raw garlic cloves 2 times a day for 3 days. Warning: this is not for the faint of heart! If you do this on an empty stomach, you may feel nauseous after. But it has worked wonders in the past when I was feeling under the weather.


If fresh breathe is your concern, you don’t even have to eat it for it to be helpful!  Garlic also has beauty benefits.  For hair growth, infuse oils with it or rub it through your hair.  Along with hair growth, it can also reduce hair loss and dandruff.


It also serves a spot treatment for acne. Just cut a bit of the garlic clove and rub it against the affected areas. The antioxidants in garlic will kill the bacteria of the acne.

Got a cold soar? No problem! Garlics got you covered. Just rub some garlic on it and it will act as a natural anti-inflammatory. The garlic should also help with the redness, swelling, and pain.


Garlic can also be used as an insect repellent as well, if you’re reluctant to use the chemically rich commercial products.

Finally, garlic can harden your dry brittle nails. Just cut a piece and rub it over your nails a few times a week and notice the difference.
